POST SOME PIX OF YOUR BIKE OR PROJECT

CB 350 Frankenbike

fitting the body work before all the frame mods, and painting.

New forks, frame painted with gray hammertone, swingarm mounted, clipons, stock wheel for now, hopefully a new wheel this week. Have to cut down the front fender.

AHHHHH, fresh new copper metallic paint! Pretty shiny haven't even shot the clear coat yet! Looks like I still have my Paint Mojo from from year ago. It's coming along slow but sure. A little seat padding, close cell foam rubber, with no upholstery, a few stripes, install the tank badges... okay I have a lot to do.
Motor, shocks, tank, seat, tail light, rearsets will go on shortly, need the exhaust, have to get the electrical bits installed, some graphics and a candle for lighting!

  3. It is a pretty nice line! Thanks Sal! It's a natural Honda 70's boxy thing I guess, even the tank carries that square look. Probably an assembly line nicety or something. I do have to weld up a seat support for it, and I'll probably hinge it some way, Not sure what I need to get under the seat, but it's always nice.

  10. Okay I got it, you have to log in first, then at the top of the page next to your e-mail address is the link to start a new post. I know the blogger instructions are sketchy at best! Maybe we're too mechanical for all this technical stuff?!

  14. Almost had to call in the troops for electrical help. Turns out the starter was shot luckily I had a spare. The starter completes the loop for the whole bike so now the motor spins. Next up lights!

  15. Have some of the lights working, and the horn sounds just wonderful (not really) Have a great spark at one cylinder but the left one has nothing. Looks like the plug cap may have been replaced at one time. Hoping it's not the coil, yikes. If I can get a spark the carbs and pipes will be one REAL soon!

It's amazing how bad electrical connectors can become in just a short 40 year period. Most of the wires are a brittle as pretzel rods. and don't get me going on all the ground wires on this poor thing!
